UK orders are typically delivered within 5 days from the moment you complete your post-purchase questionnaire. International orders take longer, depending on destination. UK delivery is free; international rates are calculated at checkout.
Because every book is personalised, our production timeline starts when you complete the post-purchase questionnaire and upload your child's photo — not when you place the order. After purchase, you'll receive an email with a private access link inviting you to complete the questionnaire whenever feels right for you and your child.
Once we receive your completed questionnaire, we begin production. Your book is then printed, packaged, and dispatched by our printing partner, Lulu.
For orders within the United Kingdom:
You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking information when your book leaves our printer.
We ship internationally to most countries. International delivery times are longer than UK delivery, and shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination.

These estimates include production time. Actual delivery times may vary depending on the destination country, local carrier performance, customs processing, and seasonal factors. We do our best to dispatch as quickly as possible, but we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates for international orders.
For orders shipped outside the United Kingdom, your local country may charge import duties, taxes, or VAT on the package when it arrives. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the price you pay at checkout.
Customs charges vary by country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict the amount, as it depends on your country's import policies and the declared value of your order. If you are unsure about the customs rules in your country, please check with your local customs office before ordering.
If a package is refused at customs or returned to us as undeliverable due to unpaid duties, we are unable to offer a refund for the cost of the book or shipping.
You'll receive an email confirming dispatch when your book leaves our printer. This email will include a tracking number where available, so you can follow your package's progress.
For international orders, tracking detail varies by destination. In some countries, tracking is detailed all the way to your door; in others, tracking visibility may end once the package leaves the UK. This is determined by the carriers in each country, not by us.
You can change your delivery address up until we begin production of your book. Production typically begins within 24 hours of you completing the questionnaire.
If you need to change your address, please email info@whenigrowup.shop as soon as possible with your order number and the new address. We'll do our best to update it before production starts.
Once production has begun, we cannot change the delivery address. The book is physically printed with your shipping label and will be dispatched to the address provided at checkout.
Our checkout collects a single shipping address per order. If you have ordered two books and need them delivered to different addresses (for example, one for your child and one as a gift to a different household), please email info@whenigrowup.shop with your order number and the second delivery address. We're happy to split the shipment manually where possible.
Please send this request as early as possible after ordering, ideally before you complete the personalisation questionnaire, so we can route the books correctly.
If your book is lost in the post or arrives damaged, please contact us at info@whenigrowup.shop as soon as possible. For damaged books, please include a photograph of the damage and the packaging.
We will arrange a free replacement and cover all delivery costs. You do not need to return the damaged book.
If your book is returned to our printer because the address you provided was incomplete or incorrect, or because the package was not collected from a depot in time, we will contact you to arrange re-dispatch. Re-dispatch costs may apply where the issue was caused by the address you provided.
If we cannot reach you to arrange re-dispatch, the order may be cancelled and a partial refund offered, less any shipping and production costs already incurred.
We may update this policy from time to time as our shipping arrangements evolve. We will post the updated policy on the website and update the "Last updated" date above.
